Paul J. Kedra, Jr. (P.K.), 98, passed away Friday July 31, 2015. He was born in East Akron on September 18, 1916. P.K. worked for Biggs Boiler Works, AC&Y Railroad as an engineer and Goodyear Stow Mold retiring in 1979 as a mold finisher He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. P.K. was an avid fisherman and loved to vacation in Canada with his family. As a child P.K. traveled to Yugoslavia with his mother to spend time with family. He enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables and taking pride in his yard and flowers. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football games. P.K. was preceded in death by parents Paul and Elizabeth Kedra; sisters, Irene, Suzie and Betty; spouse Mary; son David; daughter-in-law Kathleen; brothers-in-law John, Pete, Steve, Al, Angelo, Louis, Joe, Rudy, Nick. He is survived by grandchildren Maria (Mark) Pizer, Steven (Sherry) Kedra; great grandchildren Blake and Ross; sisters-in-law Millie (Della) and Betty Nervo; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Asera Care Hospice and Devoted Companions for there care of P.K. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Ave. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
