Paul Terry 'Prime Time' Bland, 74, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017. He was born in Akron, Ohio on Aug. 26, 1943. He was a member of The Chapel's Akron campus. He was baptized, saved, and knew the Lord. Paul graduated from Hower Vocational High School, in Akron, in 1961. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He also worked the night shift at WPCB-TV 40 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and was a long-time press operator at Quality Synthetic Rubber in Twinsburg, Ohio. Paul was a loving and very generous person who was known by his many friends for his storytelling. He was an avid fisher and lover of all sports, especially those of The Ohio State University and Archbishop Hoban High School. He was preceded in death by his mother Judy 'Mary J.' Supple, father Paul Franklin Bland, and grandmother Mary Frances Jerusha (Countryman) Foreman, and is survived by his wife Karen Bland and brother Carl E. Hunsicker of Akron, and son and daughter-in-law Paul Franklin Bland and Laura Renae Bland of Hamilton. Funeral Service at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Chapel of The Chapel's Akron campus, 135 Fir Hill Akron, OH 44304 with Pastor Isaac Van Epps officiating.
