Patty Lawrence

Patty Lawrence, 89, passed peacefully on May 16, 2023.

We were blessed to have her as our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a beautiful, loving, and caring woman. Everyone who met her loved her for her kindness, compassion, and gentle nature.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents Kathryn and Harry Lykins, stepfather Ivan Frase, her sister Kitty Diehl, husband Fred Lawrence and loving partner John Marefka. She leaves behind her loving children, Cindy (Geary) Visca and Jeff Lawrence; most cherished grandchildren, Carson (Andrew) Owens, Sean Lawrence, Justin (Nancy) Visca, Jared (Christy) Visca, and beloved great grandchildren, Meryl and Franklin Owens and MayLynn Lawrence.

She enjoyed working with the Firestone family and friends of the Firestone's far reaching. Patty loved her family and friends, planting flowers in the yard, decorating and keeping house, spending time in Panama City, Florida, traveling, going to lunch and dinner at her favorite restaurants. Patty treasured being with all of her family for any occasion or just to be together. She loved her friends and neighbors dearly. She also enjoyed volunteering at Children's Hospital for many years, delivering for Meals on Wheels. She was also a member the ladies Red Hat Society.

In remembrance of Patty, please show your love, kindness, and compassion to others as she loved you. Donations in Patty's honor can be made to St. Jude's Hospital.

Visitation will be on Wednesday May 24, 3:00 to 5:00 PM with a celebration of life to follow at 5:00 at the Hummel Funeral Home located 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio. A dinner reception will follow at 6:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church located at 3300 Morewood Rd. in Fairlawn, Ohio across from the main entrance from Summit Mall.
