Patrick Feeney

Patrick Jon Feeney (Red Pat), 54, of Akron, passed away on January 5, 2015 unexpectedly. Pat was born on May 11, 1960. Graduated from Woodridge High School, voted King of class by his classmates and well liked, also graduated from University of Akron. Participating in running track and cross-country and was a known marathon runner of merit. He enjoyed the game of golf with all his golfing buddies and still got together with his running friends. Pat was always willing to help others and helped all he could with his time and energy. Preceded in death by his father, Earl Feeney; grandfather, William Dornheim; uncle (Bill) William Dornheim; grandmother, Cassie Clarty of Pittsburgh, PA; step-brother, Mark Feeney. Survived by his mother, Sharon Mumma; Step-father, Paul Mumma; Step-mother Elizabeth Feeney, Aunt Kathleen Clarty Davison of Pittsburgh, PA; cousins Melissa Davison, Michael and Tim Mier. A private family service will be held by Dr. Rev. Robert Denton for family and close friends on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley, where the family will receive friends from 12 -2 pm. A private burial will take place following at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donate to someone in need of help or your favorite charity.
