Patricia Zarych

Patricia Zarych Jeffries died on February 19, 2014 after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer at Akron General Hospice. Patricia was a resident of Wadsworth, OH. Pat earned her Masters Degree at Kent State University and enjoyed a long career as an art educator and artist, retiring as the head of the Art Department of Highland High School in Medina County in 2008. Preceded in death by her husband, Jody Zarych; parents Dolores and Charles Zinsmayer; and grandparents, Helen and Michael Vegh. Survived by daughter Abby (Zack) Hendler; husband Ron Jeffries, sister, Linda Sir Louis (Jim); brothers Tom, Chuck (Roberta), Jeff and Chris Zinsmayer; nieces Amy and Katie, and nephew Ryan. Pat Zarych was a loving, creative and inspiring woman that touched many lives and was loved by many. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 4 to 7 PM at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd, Copley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 AM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ Catholic Church, 260 Broad St., Wadsworth, 44281 followed by Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
