Patricia Stiller

Patricia Ann (Snyder) Stiller, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2020. She was at home in Akron surrounded by her loving family. Born Sept. 14, 1934 in Bedford, OH. She attended St. Sebastian grade school, graduated from St. Vincent High School ’52 and attended Notre Dame College in Cleveland. Pat married Bill Stiller in 1955, was a wonderful, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Sebastian Sanctuary Society as well as Christ Child Society and delivered Mobile Meals. Pat was a very caring person who loved to read and correspond. She had a deep faith in Jesus Christ. She knew pain and suffering but seldom complained, and instead empathized with others and sent words of encouragement. Pat was preceded in death by her parents William and Charlotte Snyder, sisters Audrey, Ellen and Dorothy, and her son James. Pat is survived by Bill, her husband of 64 years, children Sue (Jeff) Colvin, Tom (Diana) Stiller, Nancy Stiller, Mike (Kristina) Stiller, Paul (Jill) Stiller; 13 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00am Thursday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church (476 Mull Ave. Akron). Calling hours will be 4-7pm Wednesday at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio and one hour prior to mass on Thursday at the church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Masks are recommended at all locations. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made in Pat’s name to the Christ Child Society. “Without mom, we’re not here. It’s as simple as that. She brought us into this world, mothered us thru younger years, bandaged our wounds, encouraged our hopes and dreams, listened to us and gave advice, loving us all along the way.”
