VIEW MEMORIAL PHOTO TRIBUTE Pat succumbed at home after an 8 yr. struggle with Alzheimer's. She was a life long resident of Akron. She was preceded in death by her Aunt and Uncle Julia and George Motter who raised her along with her sisters Delores Victoria and Jeannette; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Mary and Paul Nowak and William Murphy. She attended St. Vincent Grade School and High School. She attended Akron University and later worked for the Summit County Commissioners. In 1952 she married Dr. John Murphy. Mom's interests included serving as President of St. V-M Parent's Club. She was the founder of the Fr. Maher Award. She volunteered at Stan Hywet for many years. She loved St.V-M sports Notre Dame and the Cleveland Indians. Parties dancing and friends were never far away. She is survived by her husband Dr. John Murphy; children Maureen (Paul) Miller Timothy Mike (Mindy) Dan Kathleen (Bob) Saxon Mary (Tom) LeFever and Jim. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and her faithful walking companion Maddy; as well as countless other family and friends. We would also like to thank her caregivers Tina Marguerite and Allie who cared so well for her. Rest in peace Mom you will always and forever be in our hearts. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM Thursday May 1 2008 at St. Vincent Church 164 West Market St Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-7 PM on Wednesday April 30 2008 at Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd.
