Heaven's sweetest angel, Patricia Ann Buschko, 78, of Akron, Ohio was claimed by the Good Lord on January 31, 2015. She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on February 2, 1936 to Thomas and Anna Gallagher. Pat or Tish, as she was lovingly referred to by her family, worked as a dental assistant before marrying Steve on October 20, 1956 after a mere six month romance. She spent her entire life simply and joyously as a homemaker, caretaker and mom to not only her own children, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous children of friends and acquaintances, perfecting the art of motherhood along the way, loving and raising some 30 children by best estimates. She will be in our heart and by our side forever until we are fortunate enough to be smiled upon by her beautiful face and held in her loving arms once again. It is so unbearably painful to say goodbye to her wondrous, generous spirit but it gives us much solace and peace knowing that she is dancing in heaven right now with our dad and the great love of her life. Pat also gave generously her time, talents and love by volunteering at Ronald McDonald House and was a dedicated senior member of Junior Women's Civic Club as well as an active St. Sebastian's Catholic Church parishioner. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Stephen P. Buschko, brothers, Joseph, Richard and Thomas Gallagher, sisters, Rita Owen and Bernadette Leaming, and grandson, Brian Buschko. She leaves behind her devoted and loving children Jane Manning, Stephen (Cathy) Buschko, Karen (David) Powers, Thomas (Patricia) Buschko and Carol (Donald) Sweitzer; grandchildren David (Stephanie) Buschko, Stephanie (Brian) Shoman, Kelly (fiancee Jeff Musick) Buschko, Zachary, Nathaniel and Ryan Powers, Michelle (Matthew) Dangerfield, Marcie (Aaron) James, Megan Buschko, Cory and Tyler Sweitzer; great-grandchildren Cadence, Cora, Cooper, Logan, Audrey, Leah, Nicholas and Owen; sister, Miriam Oleksa and brother James (Jane) Gallagher and dozens of nieces and nephews who all have said that Aunt Pat was their favorite aunt. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the exceptional and caring nurses and staff at Copley Health Center and Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service Justin T. Rogers Care Center and especially to Dr. Edward J. Parisi for his compassionate and loving care. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice Care Center or Ronald McDonald House.
