Patience O'Neil

Patience Jane 'Pat' O'Neil 88 of Fairlawn passed away peacefully on July 28 2012. Pat was the daughter of the late Augustin & Marie (Kramer) O'Neil. She graduated from Trinity College persued a short career as a model in New York prior to finding her vocation and entering the religious community as a Poor Clare Nun. Later in life she discovered a love of painting which she enjoyed sharing with her family and others. Preceded in death by parents Augustin and Marie of Akron OH brothers Donal of Bath OH Robert of Akron OH and James of Akron OH and sisters Mary of Akron and Alice of Bath OH. Pat is survived by sister Margaret Ann (Harry) Freer of Lindhurst OH brother J. Philip ( Mary Karen) O'Neil of Chagrin Falls OH and many nieces and nephews. Pat was a fun loving person and enjoyed a rich life with family and many friends. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday August 1 2012 at St. Sebastian Church at 9:30 AM located at 476 Mull Avenue Akron OH 44302. Interment will take place in All Saints Cemetery Northfield. The family will receive friends at Hummel Funeral Home at 500 E. Exchange Street Akron Ohio 44304 on Tuesday July 31 2012 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations in memory of Patience to Hospice of VNS the Village at St. Edward and St. Sebastian Church 476 Mull Avenue Akron OH 44302.
