Owen Bozeman

Owen Bozeman 86 of Akron passed away on October 2 2009 after a brief illness. He was born in Carbondale Ohio on March 13 1923 but lived most of his life in Akron. Owen graduated from Ellet High School in 1941 and worked at General Tire building barrage balloons for the war effort. He was drafted into the Army and served in the Pacific. After the war he attended Akron U graduated in 1950 and received a Masters degree in psychology in 1951. He worked at the Bureau of Employment Services and at Summit County Welfare. He became director of the Perry County Welfare Dept. in 1972 until his retirement in 1981. Owen was preceded in death by his parents Marguerite and Frank Bozman; and his brother Leland. He leaves behind his wife Lydia to mourn his passing as well as numerous cousins. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday October 8 2009 in the mausoleum at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery 4700 Broadview Rd Cleveland with visitation one hour prior. Interment in Brooklyn Heights Cemetery with Rev. Kathleen Rolenz officiating.
