Nancy Sheppard

She was born August 25 1938 to the late August and Dora Bauer in Akron and living most of her life in the Copley community. She was the beloved wife of William Sheppard Sr. Nancy loved being a homemaker and tending to her family gardens and animals. We will best remember Nancy reading her Bible late in the evening by a dimly lit light in the family room spoiling her grandchildren with homemade desserts tending to her magnificent perennial flower gardens or nursing a near death animal back to life. Preceded in death by her brother Dan Bauer and survived by her husband William Sr. she is also survived by her children William (Leah) Sheppard Jr. and Brenda (Darrell) Gaug as well as her six grandchildren Daniel Kayla Jacob Sarah Andrew and Rebekah. She is also survived by her three sisters Wilma Nagy Marge Lee and Marlene (Earl) Black all of Copley as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday October 1st at the Hummel Funeral Home 3475 Copley Road Copley Ohio 44321 from 4-7 pm. Mr. Steven LeBlanc will conduct a memorial service at 7 pm.
