Nancy Patton

Nancy Jean Patton passed away on November 1 2011. She was born in Grand Rapids MI on April 18 1927 and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1949. She moved to Akron in 1949 but also spent time in Buenos Aires and Memphis TN before returning to Akron in 1965. She taught Special Education children in the Akron Public Schools. Her favorite volunteer work was as a member of the Citizens Review Board of Summit County Juvenile Court. Nancy leaves behind a daughter Deborah Van Auker (Steve) of Copley and a son Jeffrey Dillingham of San Diego. She also was the proud Nana of three grandsons Michael Van Auker (Laura) Ian Dillingham Collin Dillingham and one great grandson Flynn Van Auker all of California. To honor Nancy's request there will be no calling hours or service. Cremation has taken place. Nancy's family would like to express deep appreciation for the care she received at the Village of St. Edwards Akron General Hospital and Hospice of VNS. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of VNS 3558 Ridgewood Rd Akron OH 44333.
