Nancy Flanagan

Nancy Alice Flanagan 79 of Copley died March 17 2010 at her home Sumner on Ridgewood. She was born on September 11 1930 in Chicago IL. Nancy graduated from nursing school in 1974 and practiced nursing at Akron General Medical Center for 25 years. She was a mother and nurse to all...family friends anyone else...the sick the disabled the dispossessed 'anyone in need of support' for any reason. She loved people! Nancy was the founding president of the Akron Chapter of The Christ Child Society which began in 1956. Nancy was preceded in death by parents Elmer Barnes and Loretta Cavanaugh and her sister Janet Snyder. She is survived by her husband Frank daughter Susan Wervey (Bill) sons David (Tessie) Thomas (Jackie) Patrick (Katie) Jack 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 22 2010 at 11 AM at St. Hilary Catholic Church 2750 W. Market St. Private interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
