On Sunday, April 5th, 2020, Kathryn Andreozzi, wife, mother, and sister, passed away at the age of 63 years. Kathy helped people through some of the hardest times in their lives. She helped save thousands of lives with her work in recovery and addiction counseling at rehabilitation and recovery centers. She was constantly advocating, helping, and seeking justice for people. She taught many people a great deal about mental health and addiction recovery and will be sorely missed in the field. Kathy was a light to all who met her. She really knew how to make people laugh and her laugh was contagious. She had so much passion for the people she loved and she would have done anything for anyone. Let us all take care of each other like Kathy took care of us and the world will be a better place. Kathy is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Simmons, her father, Earl Simmons, her brother, Kurt Simmons, and her two sisters, Tina Grady and Laura Simmons. Kathy will be forever remembered and dearly missed by her husband and best friend John, her sister Valerie (Russel), her children Mark and Jennifer, her step-children Michael and Marisa, her grandchildren Joseph, Kathyrn, Samantha, Mark, Grace, Connor, and Evie, and her great grandchild, Paisley. Kathy will be forever remembered and dearly missed by her extended family and dear friends. The family is planning a celebration of life at a later date due to the current environment of the coronavirus.
