Michael Ziga

Michael Ziga 93 died December 25 2009. He was born on March 3 1916 in Isabel PA. Michael was dedicated to his wife Dorothy and together they raised their family calling Akron and Saint Vincent Parish home. Michael was a devout Catholic and member of St. Vincent Parish. He was a member of The Holy Name Society at St. Vincent and a long time member of The Knights of Columbus Council 547 and The Monsignor O'Keefe assembly of the 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus and the Highland Square Seniors. He was a veteran of WW II. Michael retired from the M O'Neil Co. He was an exceptional bowler and avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Sr. and Rose Ziga; his brothers Joseph John and Frank; and his sisters Julia Seliga Mary Kulifay Anna Zofchak and Christine Ziga. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Dorothy L. (Hess) Ziga; his ten children Michael G. Jr. (Rebecca) Therese (George) Siefert Timothy (Judy) John Stephen (Barbara) David Patrick (Ellen) Rosemary Bernadette (Steve) Hall Ann Marie Ziga McGoldrick Rita Ziga McLaughlin; 16 grandchildren and his first expected great-grandchild; his sister Margaret Bartlebaugh of Akron; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday December 29 2009 9:30 AM at St. Vincent Church 164 W. Market St. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E.
