Gone from this earth, but never forgotten. Michael Thomas Hamad, 67, transcended this life on Nov. 1, 2018 surrounded by family, enveloped in love and support of relatives and friends. His memory is held dear and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A skilled communicator, Michael captivated us all with his amazing storytelling, describing his experiences and imparting life lessons. Michael left nothing unsaid and didn't mince words. His spirit resonates with us all. Always an advocate for the underdog, Michael had no tolerance for bullies. He was strong, honest, fearless, principled, charming, and inspiring. He was intrigued by learning and expanding his mind spiritually and intellectually, enjoying logic problems, solving mysteries, and a challenging game of Scrabble. Michael loved his family with his whole heart and he was adored and respected by his expansive family and multitude of friends. Michael is survived by his wife of 48 years, the woman of his dreams, Marcie, with whom he raised five children that brought him immense pride: Ali Whitley, Kim Ansley, Joanna Perez, Michael Hamad II and his wife, Patty, and Emil Hamad II. He forged a special and unique relationship with each of his 10 grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Dale Hamad and sister Susan (Greg) Brenn, mother-in-law Betty White, many in-laws, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Emil Hamad I and Lorice Hamad, and his brother James Hamad. We will miss his powerful, thundering voice, his magnetic personality and his amazing spirit that would light up the room. We love you forever, Michael Thomas Hamad.
