Michael Brown

Michael D. Brown, 62, was taken from us unexpectedly on June 3, 2022.

Mike was born in 1960 to parents Rob and Mary. The oldest of four siblings, he was raised in Akron and graduated from East High School in 1978. Mike went on to earn both his Bachelors and Masters in accounting from the University of Akron.

After obtaining his CPA, he went into practice and quickly became partner at Volpe Brown and Company LLC. Trusted and respected by his clients, he held the position for over 35 years.

Mike will be remembered for his sharp wit and humor, and for the earnestness with which he cared for his friends and family. He was a tough golfer, a voracious reader, and a lover of all things music. Mike was a good friend and an even better father.

Preceded in death by sister Donna and brother Patrick; he is survived by his loving parents, brother Dennis (Kathy), two sons; Eric (Rachel) and Alex, granddaughter, Lily, and his significant other Vanessa.

Calling hours will be Friday June 10, 4-7pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, OH 44321. Private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
