VIEW MEMORIAL PHOTO TRIBUTE Mercedes H. Kemper 91 of Canton (formerly of Akron) died March 16 2008. She was born on October 29 1916 in Akron OH. Mercedes was preceded in death by her husband of 67 yrs Dick Kemper; parents Mary (nee Kraus) and Emil Krill; brothers Carl Bill and Albert; sisters Olive Evans Molly Semonin Harriet Rambacher Margaret Zurek; as well as infant sisters Tess Betty and Joanne. She is survived by her son Richard L. (Patricia) of Uniontown; daughters Mary (John) Bonenberger of Indialantic FL and Anne Lorenzo(Good Friend David Hardy)of Canton; grandchildren Diane Donaldson Theresa Heakin Kristen Ramey Beth Wickramasuriya Judy Paternoster Patty Ciuzio Jim Bonenberger Ernie Lorenzo and Mikel Anne Lorenzo. Mercedes is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mercedes was a loving wife and completely dedicated to her family. Mom will be remembered by all of us as being a wonderful Mother Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. In her later years she suffered from dementia but was still able to understand and play cards well. She also had a very unique sense of humor which we all enjoyed. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have had Mom with us as long as we did. Mercedes proudly retired from O'Neil's department store in Akron where she worked as an executive secretary. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the care given to Mom by Mercy Medical Center Hospice especially to Donna and Kathleen. We would also like to thank the nurses and aides of the Inn at Belden Village for their loving care toward our Mother. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 AM Tuesday March 25 2008 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave Akron 44320. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery with Father Semonin officiating. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron Monday March 24 from 4-7 PM.
