Melody Kaylor

November 19, 1946 — December 4, 2021

Melody C. Kaylor, age 75 (28 and holding if you were to ask her), passed away on December 4, 2021. She was born in Akron, Ohio on November 19, 1946. Melody married Robert Kaylor and he preceded her in death after 47 ½ years of marriage.

She is survived by her son, Paul (Sarah) Kaylor; grandchildren, Delaney, Christian and Victoria R; a sister-in-law, Ann Bradley; brothers, Skip (Barbara) Mousetes and Gregory (Kathy) Mousetes; and several nieces and nephews and God son Will D.

Along with her parents; Harry and Pauline Mousetes and husband Bob, Melody was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, George and Katherine Mousetes.

Melody grew up in Akron Ohio. She attended Akron Central High School (Wildcats), where she met her husband Bob. She had many talents including sewing, crochet and cooking. She and Bob lived in Ellet for a short time and moved to Uniontown where they raised their son Paul. Melody loved to travel and has been to many fantastic places. She was such a sunny, bright, cheerful person. She would make friends everywhere she met. She loved her animals, mostly cats Sally, Ashley, Frisby, Angel, Sox, and Golda, also her dogs Charlie and Molly, and her fish.

She always had a glass of iced tea and a story for you. She spent her time watching General Hospital, the Indians and Browns games, doodling on all of the paper in her house, and trying to win Publishers' Clearinghouse. Some of her favorite times were her card club, and playing (cheating) cards with her grandkids, game nights with family on holidays, and attending just about every single play, concert, and sporting event her grandkids were in.

Melody had such a gentle demeanor, and literally sang and danced to her own tune. She was generous, kind, loving, funny and peaceful. Melody was one of a kind. To know her is to truly love her and she will be forever sorely missed.
When you think of Melody, Smile, because you would be smiling if you were with her.
She will always be my Mudder and your Friend.
