Melane Francis

Melane E. Francis passed away January 13, 2022. She was born in Tremont and attended school in Cleveland. After graduating from high school she got a job at Ohio Bell. While working there she put herself through Baldwin Wallace University. Melane then got a Master's degree from John Carroll University. Moving to Akron in 1977 she got a teaching job at St. Sebastian Catholic School where she taught for over 35 years. Melane was a true educator. She worked for Carson Dellosa Publishing Company traveling throughout the United States and Canada presenting workshops to teachers. She also made recordings fo the blind. She loved to see children learn and her last job was tutoring at Resnik School.
She was preceded in death by her mother Rose (Karam) and father Michael Francis and her sister Michele Wisniewski. She is survived by her niece LeAnn Vanover.
She will be remembered and truly missed by her cousins and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held in the spring. Please remember her by planting a flower or giving to a charity of your choice.
