Mary Topper

Mary Elizabeth (Sadley) Topper As a faithful believer of the resurrection, Mary was prepared to leave this world on October 6, 2016 in the heavenly-home comfort of Debbie and Scott Dressler. Preceded in death: Mother, Ann Catherine (Kindel) Sadley; Father, Ely Joseph Sadley; Sister, Ann Marie (Sadley) Arnold; Twin brothers, Ely and Joseph; Son, Warren A. (Timmy) Topper, Jr.; and Husband, Warren A. Topper. She was born April 8, 1921 in Akron, OH and a 1940 graduate of Garfield High School. She was an executive secretary for 14 years in the tire building division at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. She also worked at City Hospital and Polsky's as an executive secretary in Women's Fashion. Mary was an extremely talented seamstress and made most of her fashionable clothing. She spent early years as a member of the Croatian choir at the Grant Street Christ the King Church and has been a faithful parishioner of St. Johns Parish for 80 years. Her Godly services were in taking care of her entire family, Parish Council, the Ladies Guild and Sanctuary Society. She leaves her dear friends form church and June Grismer, Ellen Newcomb, Fr. Emmanul Amagzi of Ghana and Hospice of Summa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St. Akron. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
