Mary Petrich

Mary Esther Petrich (nee Carr) age 89, passed into eternal life peacefully on July 21, 2024. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Reinhard Petrich and her two sisters, Betty Moore and Dorothy Schultz. Mary was born in Marlboro, Ohio to the late Elmer and late Mabel Carr. She was loved by her nieces and nephews: Richard Schultz deceased (Judy), Susan Schultz, Marcia Booher (Michael), Monica Pesek (Ray), Michael Moore (Lisa). She was loved by her step-children: Christian Petrich (Susan Gelletly), Anett Petrich (Jan Alter). She is survived by two grandchildren, six great nieces, a great great niece and a great great nephew. Mary had a lifelong love of music and poetry. She was a Recorder Society member and accomplished pianist. She enjoyed hiking, canoeing, kayaking and swimming. Mary enjoyed playing bridge, going to concerts and plays with her many treasured friends. Mary retired from the Social Security Administration as a Field Representative in Michigan and Ohio. Mary loved her church and was faithful to the needs of others. Mary requested a private family gathering to spread her ashes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron, Ohio.
