On April 15 2010 Mary (Perri) Mullen was reunited with her husband of 66 years Charles 'Chick' and son Fred Mullen. She was born on May 12 1919 to a proud American family. Her parents Domenico and Giuseppina (Vitro) Perri and their eldest son immigrated to this country from the village of San Vito sullo lonio located in the Catanzaro province of Calabria Italy. Mary was a full-time homemaker and took her responsibilities very seriously. There was never dirt swept under her rugs. She loved to cook and had a personal mission that everyone would leave her home 'stuffed' with her good cooking. Mary and Chick took pride in being the best neighbors and always looked after the 'young ones'. Their neighbors knew they could look to Mary and Chick for a helping hand and large serving of whatever was on the stove. During World War II Mary worked as a 'Rosie the Riveter' at B F Goodrich and raised their son Fred while Chick was protecting the homeland in Europe. Their kindness hospitality (not to mention the good food) and generosity will be missed by family and friends alike. In addition to Chick Fred and her parents Mary will be joining her siblings; Vito Catherine Antonio (Tony) Rose Pauline Saverio and her younger brother Samuel who lost his life in World War II defending our country during the Battle of Normandy in St. Lo France. Mary leaves behind her daughter-in-law Becky of Wooster son and daughter-in-law Donald and Karen of Bath grandchildren Derek Charles Rachel Robert Matthew Bradley Dennis and Jeffery; her sister Angie Moore; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews including Dick Doria and the daughter she never had- Pamela Marie Moore.
