Mary Louise Moorehouse 94 died on June 9 2012 at the Hospice Center of Akron. She was born to Dorothy and Albert Logan Fulkerson on January 10 1918 in Junction City Kansas. Her family lived in many places including Pasadena Dallas St. Louis and Cleveland. On May 13 1950 she married William Moorehouse. She was a beloved wife for 59 years and a loving mother. She was a loyal friend avid bridge player and devoted volunteer with Meals on Wheels and other programs. For many years she was active with Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Garden Club. She enjoyed travel adventures with her family scenic drives beach vacations and anything to do with birds and flowers. She was a longtime resident of Akron. In 2010 she resided in sunny California and had loving care from her daughter Anne and her family. In the last year she was a resident of Greenview Inn in Green Ohio and was cared for by staff who loved Mary. She enjoyed a regular Friday dinner outing with her son David. She is survived by daughters Anne (David) Hanzel Martha Moorehouse; son David (Pam) Moorehouse; grandchildren Kate and John Moorehouse Zachary Hanzel; and sister Betty (George) Hollingsworth. She was preceded in death by husband Bill and brother John. A Memorial Service will be held on June 13 2012 at 11:00 am at Westminster Presbyterian Church 1250 West Exchange St. Akron followed by a reception at the church. A Committal Service will follow at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland at 3:15 PM. Donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice Center Ridgewood Road at VNSA.com.
