Mary Lannahan

Mary Ann Lannahan 'Lannie' 91 passed away December 16 2010 at Heather Knoll Nursing Home. Mary Ann born in Dennison OH was the daughter of John and Mary Lannahan and was always very proud of her Irish Catholic heritage. She graduated from St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing in 1941 beginning a 50 year career in a profession in which she took much pride. Lannie is survived by many people who dearly loved her especially her caregivers Marty and Patty Conway and their children Mallory Corey and Dylan. She was a resident at Heather Knoll for eight years and became the delight of many staff members. She received loving care by Nicole Stephanie and Carole. In her final days Phil Mike Tracey and Laura from Hospice of Summa were very caring and compassionate. Lannie kept the faith even on her worst days. She was very prepared to make the transition to Heaven. Lannie will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Steubenville beside her parents. A memorial mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church on Wednesday December 22 at 10:00 a.m. In Lannie's honor donations may be made to Heather Knoll Resident Fund 1134 North Avenue Tallmadge OH 44278 or Hospice of Summa.
