Mary T. Hengle nee Lynch, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 3, 1914. She lived the majority of her life In the Akron area. Mary died on Wednesday morning September 14, 2016, at the graceful age of 102. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Theresa Lynch; husband George; daughter Jean (John) Wesig; daughter-in-law Jeanne Hengle; baby Helen Hengle and grandsons George Jacobs and Charles Wesig. She is survived by her daughter Joan (Jake) Jacobs; sons George (Helen), Fr. John and Robert Hengle, 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Formerly a member of St. Bernard Church where she was a school cook, custodian for school and church, Bishop's office, sacristan, a Eucharistic Minister, and sometime weekday lector. She loved playing her piano, craft making, especially Christmas mice, and reading her romance novels. She enjoyed her scratch-offs always hoping to make it big-and she did on September 14th with the greatest prize of all-eternal life. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10AM at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 105 North Ave. Tallmadge. Funeral procession will form at the church. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron on Sunday from 3-6PM. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Victory Replacement Account, St. Bernard Church or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
