Mary Zaharopoulos Colombes 88 died Saturday October 6 at Pine Valley Care Center in Richfield surrounded by her family. Born in Akron on November 7 1923 Mary and her family moved to Bath in 1963. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and worked at Constantine's Garden Center for 40 years. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Gus; parents Irene and Trifon Zaharopoulos and her five siblings John Z. Mark Z. Alice Markos Athena Constantine and Amelia Delis. Survivors include children Carol (Chuck) Harrington of Reseda California Susan (David) Morgan of Richfield Charles (Rita) Colombes of Brecksville; grandchildren Michael (Mary Jo) Morgan of Wadsworth and John Harrington of Reseda; sister-in-law Katherine Bymakos; brothers-in-law Chris Markos and Thomas Delis; aunt Annie Gust and many cousins nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at Pine Valley Care Center for their loving care of Mary over the past nine years as well as Harbor Light Hospice and special friends Bill Reimer and Ann Petronick. We shall always cherish Moms' genuine good-natured advice her example of tireless hard work and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. May all the stars shine bright with our tears for every single moment we shared with her. Funeral services Tuesday Oct. 9 at 11AM at the Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd. Internment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY Monday Oct. 8 from 4-7 with a Trisayios service at 6 PM. Memorials may be made to the Father George & Presvytera Zafera Bartz Camp Scholarship Fund c/o Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church 129 S. Union St. Akron Ohio 44304.
