Mary Cochrun

Mary Jeanne Cochrun 86 of Akron passed away March 10 2011 after a short illness. She graduated from St. Vincent High School and went on to be a dental assistant for Dr. Carl Ryan. Mary Jeanne was past president of Junior Women's Civic Club and Little Flower Garden Club of St. Sebastian Church. She enjoyed playing bridge knitting reading and dearly loved her grandsons of whom she was most proud. Mary Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Thomas L. her parents John and Gertrude Starner and brothers-in-law William and Robert (Nelda) Cochrun. She is survived by children Ann (Terry) Gorbach and Jeanne (Denis) Van Doros; grandsons John (Kathy) Gorbach and Matthew (Theresa) Gorbach; brother John (Carol) Starner sisters-in-law Mary Jude (David) Armour Mildred Cochrun and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday March 17 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull Ave Akron. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home COPLEY 3475 Copley Rd on Wednesday evening March 16 from 3-7 PM.
