Marthella J. Vanderbilt Roesner of Akron, passed away at Rockynol Retirement Community on October 3, 2017. Marthella was born on August 6, 1925 in Akron OH. She was a member of Copley United Methodist Church since 1968. Marthella worked at Goodyear Tire during WWII, also worked at polling booths for Board of Elections and was a wonderful homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was always busy with her hobbies of quilting, knitting and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter F. Roesner; son Gregg S. Roesner and daughter Janet G. Roesner. She is survived by sons Mark W. (Nancy) Roesner and Ted E. Roesner of New Albany IN.; 5 grandchildren Joseph (Cory), Chrissy (Steve) Seyerle, Anna (Kyle) McCormick, Erin (Dustin) Korb and Emma Roesner; great grandchildren Ava and Olivia Seyerle Private services will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
