Marlene Amstutz

Marlene Sue Amstutz, 76, of Lakeview, Ohio, passed away at 10:05 pm Sunday, September 21, 2022, at Grace House in Akron, Ohio. She was born August 22, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Jack and Dorothy Alexander. On June 4, 1946, Marlene married Bob Amstutz, who passed away in 2019.

Marlene is survived by two daughters, Melissa (Tim) Neidert of Clinton, Ohio, and Beth (Ken) Barhoover of Sagamore Hills, Ohio; 4 grandchildren, Jacob, Josh, Jack, and Eve; 5 sisters: Carol, Shirley, Georgia, Mary Jo and Sharon; and her beloved cat, Gracie.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers: Nick and Butch.

Marlene retired from Phillips Display Company in 2002 and eventually she and Bob moved to Indian Lake. She was a member of the Lakeview Moose and Eagles. Marlene loved the water, and her favorite vacation spot was anywhere that had a beach. She was fun-loving, sometimes goofy. She loved to dance and sing (opera, she claimed), play golf, and spend time with friends and family.

There will be an open house celebration of life for both Marlene and Bob at The Eagles, 14011 Collingwood Ave,. Lakeview, Ohio, on October 8, 2022 from 1 to 3 pm.
