Mark Weakland

We are saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Mark Edward Weakland on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Mark was born on March 4, 1957, to parents Leo and Brenda Weakland in Akron, OH. Growing up in Suffield and Mogadore, but, remaining in Akron and surrounding areas for most of his life. He worked for many years as a long haul & carry-all truck driver, and motorcycle mechanic. Mark had a passion and love for motorcycles, family and friends. He also had a very deep soul for music. Mark was patriotic in many ways and loved God and country. A very driven man, and once he put his mind to something, it was done to the absolute best of his ability. Mark would give you the shirt off his back or his last nickel to help someone in need. He was an amazing man who loved & cherished his family.

Mark is predeceased by his mother Brenda (Holly) Weakland & son, Anthony Robert Weakland. He is survived by father, Leo & stepmother, Pat Weakland; wife of 35 years, Julie (Evans) Weakland; son, Mark Adam (Julie) Weakland; daughters, Allison Weakland, Amy (Tom) Souza; grandchildren, Chase, Lily, Layne, Tommy, Willow and Max; brothers, Leo (Aliki) Weakland and their son, Leo and daughter Lacea, John (Jennie) Weakland and their son, Jet, brother Tom (Cheryl) Murtha; sisters, Laura Weakland and her daughter Kadi, Kris (Dennis) Harris and their daughter Kaitlyn and son Caleb.

Celebration of Life and Memorial services will be held July 17, 2021, at Black Wolf Hall, 3099 Graham Road, Stow, OH 44224, from 12pm - 4pm. Memorial Service will be at 1pm. The family has set up a memorial service and celebration of life fund to assist with the unexpected costs.  Thank you so much to everyone for your support.
