Marjorie Carrick Eshack, 96, passed away August 21, 2017. She's now enjoying the seashore where it's forever summer. She was born February 22, 1921 in Asbury Park, New Jersey to William Stanley and Dorothy Colbeck Carrick. Marjorie graduated from Dean Academy in Franklin, Massachusetts and became a Registered Nurse from Ann May School of Nursing at Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Neptune, New Jersey. Marjorie was a long-time parishioner at Saint Sebastian Church. Her life was devoted to her husband of 61 years, her six children, seventeen grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren. She was an excellent bridge player, still playing in her late 80's. She enjoyed gardening, earning the Keep Akron Beautiful's Beautification Watch Award many times. She also loved watching birds and butterflies. She loved to walk, even in her 90's, meeting her neighbors along the way. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Eshack and brother William Stanley Carrick, Jr. Marjorie leaves her loving family to cherish her memory: children, Dian (Bill) Davids, John Eshack, David Eshack, Michael (Jenny) Eshack, Kathleen (Tom) Falk, and Robert (Barbara) Eshack. Also, niece Suzann Carrick Semonovick, great-niece Dian Ericksen, and daughters-in-law Christy Eshack and Abbe Arenson. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Renaissance Care Facility and the staff and volunteers of Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road for their kindness.A memorial service will be held Saturday Sept. 9, 1:00 pm at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley, where the family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
