Marilyn Reed

Marilyn J. Reed, 86, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Marilyn was born in Akron on June 11, 1931 and lived the majority of her life in the area. She will always be remembered by her family and friends because of her positive attitude towards life and her sunny disposition. She brightened the day of anyone she came into contact with. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Bruce R. Reed Sr, brother Jack Rose and sister Lora Eckman. She is survived by sons Bruce Jr. (Patricia), Jeff (Cheryl), Scott (Kelly) and daughter Lora Eicher (Terry). She is also survived by grandchildren Aaron and Ian Reed, Sarah and Danielle Reed, Vanessa Eicher and great grandson Matthew. There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday March 17, 2018, 1-4 PM at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley.
