Marie Macdonald

Marie 88 of Akron died March 15 2010. From her childhood on she always helped others. When her age made that difficult she'd pray for you- her prayer book never far. Marie was a member of St. Sebastian Church and the Contemporary Choir. We will sadly miss her funny faces many jokes smiles and love of animals. She enjoyed her wordbook puzzles. Marie was a switchboard operator at St. Thomas Hospital before her 52-year marriage to Jim. Her family was everything to her. She leaves daughters Phyllis Norden (who gave her loving care the last years) and Margaret; sons James of Geneva OH and Franklin; siblings Charles Phyllis Nassos and Janet Jenkins of FL; and brother-in-law Robert Macdonald. She was predeceased by son Gerald; siblings Joseph Albert Edward Rita and Margaret. The family thanks all those who ever took care of Mom at home in the hospital and in rehab. As Mom loved helping others donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Sebastian Church 476 Mull AV Akron OH 44320. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 20 2010 11:00 AM. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church 476 Mull AV. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at St. Sebastian Catholic Church on Saturday March 20 2010 from 10:30 - 11:00 AM.
