Marie Graham

Marie T Graham, 87, passed away in Columbus Ohio on November 12, 2018 She was born in Akron, Ohio, where she lived most of her life until moving to Columbus in 1984 with her husband to be closer to their business (Graham Ford Inc) and family. She was a graduate of Our Lady of the Elms High School and a graduate of The University of Akron where she earned her Bachelors in Education. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She taught Kindergarten for the Akron Public Schools. Marie was active in the Christ Child Society, Junior League of Akron, as well as and volunteered at St. Thomas Hospital. Among the many organizations she and husband Gene Graham supported, The University of Akron and St. Sebastian Catholic Church were the her most endeared. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Eugene D. Graham, parents Germaine A. and Frank J. Karg; brother Thomas J. Karg; nephew Dan Karg. She was a loving mother to her daughters Susan (August) Russo and Cindy (Jack) Freudeman, and her son Tim (Tannen). She was a most beloved grandmother to Brandon (Stacey) Seibert, Ryan (Sara) Seibert, Kelly (John) Hinton, Kate Freudeman, Allison (Zach) Jordan, Theodore, Ian, and Julia Graham; and great-grandmother to Lilly and Isabel Hinton, and Emery Seibert. She leaves behind brothers James F. Karg, Reverend William D. Karg, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Sebastian Catholic Church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of Saint Sebastian Church, 476 Mull Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320
