Marianne Revesz

Marianne Elizabeth Grossmayer Revesz, born April 21, 1944, of Copley, passed away on August 3, 2021.

Married since February, 1962, she married the love of her life, Joseph Revesz. She was the first and favorite of seven; preceded in heaven by her parents, Elizabeth Rauch and David Grossmayer, daughter, Anna Marie, and great granddaughter, Gwenevere Elizabeth.

She was a devoted sister to Jim (Carol), Elizabeth Cedarquist (Alan), Barbara, Jeanne, Melanie Neff and David.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children, Joe (Dannette), John, Eric (Lesa), and Deborah Smith (Mike); grandchildren, Daniel, Steven (Mackenzie), Adam, Amanda, Nathan (Alicia), Jessica, Anthony, Mason, Natalie, and Rachel; great grandchildren, Aria, Hector, Finnegan and recent addition Lucia; sister-in-law, Kirsten Grossmayer, nephew David Urban, and niece Cassidy Heulitt (Addison) and a long list of close friends and extended family whom she dearly loved.

A lifelong Copley resident Marianne dedicated years to raising her family and working various jobs - Little Joe's Pub, Emery's Sparkle Market later continuing her education at Portage Lakes Career Center becoming an LPN. Employed with Lorantffy Care Center Mom was a trendsetter for mature women continuing their education and worked 15 years as a nurse, earning the respect of her peers and the trust of her patients.

As a loving grandma and great grandma, she was always excited to share news of what her grand babies were babbling. She was a fierce friend and ally having a lot of quirks who loved her sparkles and matching scrunchies. She loved traveling, crocheting, weekly dinners with lifelong friends, B monster movies and shopping.

Many thanks to all the medical staff and care providers from Cleveland Clinic, Wadsworth Pointe, Barberton Summa Hospital and Hospice Care during this difficult period.

A visitation will take place from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Hummel Funeral Home, COPLEY, 3475 Copley Road. A short funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 7th at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Copley Cemetery.
