Marian Harbert

Marian (Vourdakis) Harbert (Nackes) Marian Harbert, 83, of Sharon Township in Medina, Ohio passed away on September 6, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 14, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from John Hay High School and attended Fenn College. She is survived by her loving husband Donald D. of 34 years, Sister Pat Skwarski (Len), children Lynn Carr and Nick Nackes (Annette); and stepchildren Anthony Harbert (Cathy), Dianna Brown and Robert Harbert. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Nick, Lauren and Kourtney Carr, Alexa and Brianna Nackes, Jeff and Brian Brown and Matthew (Hannah) Harbert and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Nick and Lou Vourdakis and her brother Alan Vourdakis. Marian was an active member of Sharon Women's club. She loved antiquing, doing needlepoint, gardening, playing bridge, and canasta with her dear friends. She loved the outdoors, nature walks and travel. Of their many trips together, her visit to the Grand Tetons and her trip to the island of Samos Greece visiting the village of her father were her favorites. Marian loved flowers. Friends may call on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 8:30 until the time of service at 10AM at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Road, Copley, Ohio 44321. Interment immediatly following the service in Sharon Center Cemetery.
