Margret Johnston

Peggy, an Akron, OH resident born in Greentown, passed away unexpectedly in her home. As an animal lover, she was a loving mother to several dogs and cats throughout her life. A devoted Christian, Peggy enjoyed her church communities through her passion for attending Bible Study groups and sharing her beautiful voice in choirs. Her career involved management and administrative work in the retail and banking industries, prior to 20 years at the US Postal Service.

Peggy was the eldest daughter of the late Robert and Violet (Walters) Rowles. Predeceased by her devoted younger brother, David Rowles, and several dear extended family members. She is survived by her beloved youngest brother, Donald Rowles, her caring sisters-in-law, Marcia (Don) Rowles and Barbara (Dave) Rowles, 5 nieces she was proud of: Pamela McCauley, Deborah Orostin, Krista Scheetz, Kelly Preston, Carrie Brown, many great nieces and nephews, and extended family. She is also survived by her loyal friend-like-family, Sheila Hall, whom we'd like to recognize with appreciation for her supportive assistance.

Visitation will be held at Life Spring Christian Church, 1828 Marigold Ave, Akron, on Saturday, February 8 at 10:00 AM, followed by church service at 11:00 AM. Procession to Forest Hill Cemetery, 4414 Cleveland Ave NW, Canton.
