Margery Gannon

October 17, 1933 — April 26, 2024

After a long, fruitful and love-filled life, Margie (Cullison) Gannon passed peacefully away at the age of 90 on April 26th 2024. All of her children were there by her side to say goodbye and give her their love and hugs as she moved on to the next adventure. She was preceded in death by Pat, her loving husband of 64 years, her parents Leonard Cullison and Madeline Sutter, her brother Tom and Granddaughter Kaitlyn. She leaves behind three siblings Janet Rether (John), Jim Cullison (Beth) and Andy Cullison (Joy).

Also, she leaves behind six children, Dan, Bonnie, Jeff (Peggy), Bryan (Debbie), Sharon and Laura - 7 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

Margie was the consummate wife and mother, always putting the happiness of her family first! Although raising 6 children on a tight budget was difficult for the family as they grew up, the children were never aware because dinner was always on the table (even though some of the dinners had to be a bit creative), there were always clean clothes available and times spent with the family were always filled with laughter. Some of the greatest memories as they were growing up were family vacations at Indian Lake, where going out to dinner one night while they were there was always the biggest treat of all. We also loved our frequent trips to Dover, OH to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cullison.

Mom was asked recently what she would like to be remembered for, and all she relayed was "I'd like to be remembered as an 'ok' Mom." If the sound of your Grandchildren's laughter and the legacy that you and Dad created are "just ok" then I guess you did Ok Mom. But the truth of the matter is, all of your children and their children are who they are because of you, and that is more than ok - that is perfect! In fact, it's your example of kindness that inspired our brother Dan to be such a great and dedicated caretaker for you over the last difficult months of your life. A dedication that we want to acknowledge and thank him for.

Two of Mom's great loves were reading and doing puzzles, and both of these pleasures were removed from her as blindness set in her later years. Her body didn't work like it used to either, but her mind was sharp. It's funny how these things work. In his late years Dad's mind and memory didn't work very well, but his legs were strong and his eyesight was fine. Now they are joined again in heaven - where they can make each other whole again - just like a loving marriage is supposed to do. Clear the dance floor up in heaven because Pat and Margie are together again, and they're going to need some space to resume their dance.
