Magdalena Wurtz

Magdalena Wurtz joined Our Lord on Friday January 16, 2015. She is now re-united with her husband Josef, daughter Regina Hippich, son-in-law Gregor Hippich and sister Maryanne Kessegi. Magdalena and her husband, Josef, immigrated to the United States in 1957. She was employed in the housekeeping department at St. Thomas Hospital for over 30 years. After her retirement, she continued to volunteer at the hospital until she was 90. She enjoyed socializing in the German Family Society's senior group called the Golden Ring. Magdalena loved doing 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles and word searches. Magdalena leaves behind grandsons Lorenz (Mary) Hippich and Gregg (Helga) Hippich; great-grandchildren Larry (Missy) Hippich, Daniel (Traci) Hippich, Bryan (Lori) Hippich, Kristen (Josh) Egidi, Christopher (Jen) Hippich; great-great-grandchildren Jessica, Matthew, Carly, Benjamin, Emily, Katelyn, Alexander, Kylee, Madalyn, Gianna, Andrew, Nicholas, Olivia, Jason, Jaylee; niece Kati Keller. Oma, we love you and will miss you. The family will receive friends Friday, January 23, 2015 10:00 am at St. Eugene Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.
