Maelruain Dowling

Bishop Maelruain Kristopher Dowling 58 of Akron Ohio passed away on July 7 2013. He translated the Lorrha-Stowe Missal and the Proper prayers for the year (CelticChristianity.org). 'The Body of Christ cannot be put outside the Body of Christ'; 'The essential part of the Liturgy is the whole thing'; 'What would Jesus cut?' We ask for your prayers for our Beloved Bishop. He was born on April 21 1955 in Brooklyn New York to the late John and Winifred (Snyder) Dowling. Maelruain Kristopher is survived by his wife Elizabeth J. Dowling; daughter Pamela Anna Dowling; grandson Aedan M.J. Dowling; cousin Annemarie (Steven) Castronovo; sister-in-law Nancy B. (Francis) Clark; special friend Jonathon Nicolazzo; and many other family members clergy and friends. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4-8 at the Hummel Funeral Home (500 E. Exchange St. Akron Ohio). Graveside service will be 10:00 Wednesday at Holy Cross Cemetery.
