Mable Leary

View Photo Tribute''Mable J. Leary 86 of Akron passed away on November 30 2008 at Hospice of Ridgewood. She was born in Akron and lived here all of her life. Mable worked at the Aircraft after graduating from West High School and later retired from Miracle Mart. She was a member of First Grace UCC and was a devoted helper at the hunger program. Mable also enjoyed bowling with her church group. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Leary; parents George and Sadie Joseph; brothers 'Chick' and 'Knocky' Joseph; and sisters Lena Sprouse Olga Haboush and Evelyn Newton. Mable is survived by her daughter and caregiver Carol (Russ) Jones; daughters Barbara Higdon of OR Toni Harper of TX; son Michael (Connie) Leary of OK; grandchildren Robert (Diane) Butcher Larry Shenise David (Vickie) Leary Ron Higdon Robert (Myra) Leary and Shannon (Roger) Cowan; 9 great grandchildren; and her pet dog 'Charlie'. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Family wishes to receive friends at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St Akron on Friday December 5 from 4-7 PM.
