Sister M. Pierre Bisheimer OP Sister M. Pierre Bisheimer 85 the former Elizabeth Bisheimer died on Saturday May 1 2004 at Regina Health Center. Sister Pierre was the daughter of John and Magdalena Bisheimer. She entered the Sisters of St. Dominic of Akron Ohio from St. Bernard Parish in Akron on September 8 1936. She was in her 66th year of religious profession. She began her teaching career at Immaculate Conception School Ravenna in 1938. She also taught at St. Dominic Youngstown (1944-50); St. Joseph Alliance (1950-58; 62-64); St. Felicitas Cleveland (1958-61); SS. Peter & Paul Doylestown (1968-69) ; St. Paul (1961-62; 79-85) St. Matthew (1964-67; 86-91) Our Lady of the Elms Preschool (1971-76) all in Akron. Sister Pierre also was a primary aide at Our Lady of the Elms Elementary School from 1976-79. From 1969-71 she was house mother and supervisor at St. Edward Home. Because of health reasons Sister Pierre retired to Our Lady of the Elms Infirmary in 1991. In October 2003 she was moved to Regina Health Center Richfield. Sister Pierre enjoyed needle work music and loved to read. She had a great love for the little ones and the old ones. She was preceded in death by her parents brothers Fr. Nicholas Joseph John and Alex; sisters Sister Imelda OP Rose Lecan and Marie Bisheimer. She is survived by brother Pete of Florida and sister-in-law Betty Bisheimer of Akron and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are at Our Lady of the Elms Convent 1230 W. Market St. Akron on Monday May 3 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. with Wake Service at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial is on Tuesday May 4 at 9:30. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to Our Lady of the Elms School-Sisters of St. Dominic Foundation.
