Lynn Stallings

Lynn Dalene Stallings (Burrell), Obituary Stallings, Lynn D. (Burrell), age 79, peacefully passed away on Memorial Day, May 28, 2018. She was surrounded by loved ones. As a young girl she was a member of the Uhrichsville Presbyterian Church with her parents, Richard Delmer Burrell, and Vera Marie Burrell (Bittecker). She was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School, Tuscarawas County, Ohio in 1956, where she was Valedictorian. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University in 1960, and was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority while attending school there. As a Physical Therapist, Lynn devoted over four decades, tirelessly caring for others, as they recovered from injuries and surgeries. In her Faith, Lynn was a member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church in Akron, OH and later, Saint Hilary Roman Catholic Church in Fairlawn, OH. She is predeceased by her husband of nearly 35 years, Doctor William Henry Stallings, D.D.S and her brother, Wayne Lee Reese. Lynn is survived by her children Keith Smith (Lisa Lichak), Gregory Stallings (Laura Nedelk), Christopher Gibbs (Laura Gerak) grandchildren Brandon, Ryan and Rachel (Smith), James and John (Stallings), and one great grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, June 1st, 9:30am, at Saint Hilary Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. Family and Friends may call at the Hummel Funeral Home West, located at 3475 Copley Road on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
