Louise Straley

October 31, 1923 — September 16, 2017

Louise B. Straley (Close) Matthew 25:21 '...Well done thou good and faithful servant.' Louise B. Straley went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 16th. She was born in St. George and raised in Parsons, West Virginia on October 31, 1923. Mom loved and served her Lord faithfully. Her family was her pride and joy. If you wanted to know anything about Cleveland sports you just had to ask mom. She had a green thumb. Her gardens and flowers were amazing. We can still hear her yell and see her jump up and down as she gets a ringer in horseshoes. Her home was open to all. She was a Mom to many. Mom worked and retired from JC Penney at Chapel Hill. She then went to work at Temo's Candy and loved working with the people. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brightened her days. They all loved going to Gma's on Sundays. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Meredith, grandson Lucas, her brothers and sisters and sister-in-law Norma Thomson. Left to cherish her memory; daughters Sue (Kevin) Price, Kathy (Russ) Klein, Debbie (Andy) Falcone. Also her two other daughters Lisa Sigman and Rose Ann Wilmoth. (Thank you two for all that you did for Mom.) Grandchildren; Meredith (Joe) Beavers, Emily Klein, Stephen (Amanda) Price, Lauren (Johnathan) Westren, Andy Falcone, Russell Jr. (Amanda) Klein and Anthony Falcone. Great-grandchildren; Lucas, Sammy, and Micah Beavers. She was a member and served at Goodyear Heights Community Church. Cremation has taken place. We will have a celebration of Mom's life on Saturday September 23rd at Goodyear Heights Community Church 464 Brittain Rd. Akron, Ohio 44305. Calling hours will be from 11:00-1:00 with a service following. Pastor Kevin Price will be officiating. The family would like to thank Summa Hospice (Linda & Chaplain Mike). You were a blessing to her. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the church she loved (Goodyear Heights Community Church). You are welcome to wear Indians, Browns, or Cavs attire in honor of mom.
