Louis Joseph Reynolds, 85, passed away on August 31, 2015. Mr. Reynolds was bon on September 23, 1929 in Akron, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Reynolds. He was an active member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, where he also attended Elementary School. Louis was a graduate of Central High School and was active in Sea Scouts as a teenager. A kind, generous and loving man, whom some considered a Saint, Mr. Reynolds would do anything for anyone and he would always lend an open ear, heart or hand. He was a very hard worker whom everyone loved and respected. He worked at the Short Stop and Hibachi Japanese Steakhouse as a bartender; 29 years with McNeil and 17 years as a machinist at National Machine. Louis was also a very active member of the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium. Preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Sally Reynolds; brother, Gabriel Reynolds and sister, Mary 'Meme' Gardner; a truly devoted family man, Louis leaves to cherish his memory; daughter, Brenda Keener; sons, Frank and Louis Reynolds; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Jackie) Reynolds; good friend, Linda Brookshire, who meant a lot to him in his life and all of his co-workers and Natatorium harem Calling hours will be 4-7 Thursday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am Friday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave. Akron, Ohio. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
