Lori Westover

Lori Ann Westover age 47, passed away on June 25th, 2017 in Akron, Ohio surrounded by her family, after her short battle with Myelodysplasic syndrome(MDS). Funeral services will be held at Hummel Funeral Home 500 E. Exchange St. Akron, Ohio 44304 on June 30th, 2017 from 1-3pm. She will be laid to rest at East Akron Cemetery. Memorial service will be held at the Cottage Grove E C Church at a later date. She was born in Akron, OH on February 21st, 1970 to Larry and Barbara Westover. She went to highschool at Barberton High School and graduated with the class of 1989. She went on to earn a diploma at Fortis College for Medical Billing and Coding but did not complete due to her illness. Although a mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, aunt and a caring friend was lost that day she will forever be in our hearts. Lori impacted every persons lives to whom she came in contact with. She enjoyed spending time with family, doing yard work, crocheting, dancing, watching sci-fi mystery shows, painting and helping others. Lori is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara A. Westover; grandfather, Stephen L. Burskey; grandparents, Purdy and Erma Westover. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey M. Westover and her unborn grandchild; father, Larry Westover; sister, Lisa (Scott) Smith; brother, Larry (Jennifer) Westover; grandmother, Ann Burskey; aunt, Rebecca Burskey; nephew, Justin (Amanda) Westover; great nieces, Gabriella and Averie Westover; nephews,Brandon and Andrew Thesing; and her fur babies, Shadow; Cuddles; and Precious.
