Loretta LeFevre

Loretta Jean (Poje) LeFevre 82 of Akron fell asleep in the Lord on Monday June 27 2011 from complications of Alzheimer's Disease surrounded by family. Loretta was born on December 21 1928. She was a lifelong resident of Akron having graduated from St. Vincent High School where she was head majorette. Loretta continued her leadership and vivacious participation in her church in her community and in her neighborhood. She set a beautiful table and was most happy when having gathered friends and loved ones around taking every opportunity to do so. After requiring special medical support Loretta enjoyed her new community in Altercare of Wadsworth where she continued to serve others by covering cold arms gently holding hands extending words of love and helping tuck into bed at night. In her final days and hours both residents and staff continually and often silently paid visits and laid loving gifts on her bed. Loretta was preceded in death by her mother and father Edna and John Poje and brother-in-law Dan Dunford. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Thomas S. LeFevre; sons Greg (Jean) and Tim (Mona); grandsons Benjamin Alexander Tyler and Teryn; sisters Marlene Dunford and Delores (Mike) Mutchler; and loving nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday June 30 2011 at 11:30 AM at St. Vincent Catholic Church 164 W. Market St Akron. Private family interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
