Linda Peiffer, age 75, of Copley, Ohio, formerly of Atwater, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on February 25, 1949, Linda graduated from Atwater High School and later pursued Real Estate Management at the University of Colorado, Denver. Her adventurous spirit took her to Salt Lake City, Colorado Springs, and back to her roots in Ohio. Linda also worked in the private sector in management, accounting and was the owner of several businesses. On May 10, 2016, she was appointed as interim Fiscal Officer for Copley Township. After her appointment in 2016, Linda ran for election in 2017 and was successfully elected for two more terms.
Linda was best known for her passion and creativity as the owner of Hitch in Time, a premier horse-drawn carriage service that brought joy to countless brides with its magical, fairy tale experiences. Alongside her beloved horse, Bingo, she created cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of many.
Her warmth, intuition, and boundless humor touched everyone she met. Linda's laughter was alight, and her compassion left a lasting legacy.
She is survived by her siblings; Barbara Frank, Ken Folk, and Elberta Hanford, and nieces and nephews including Darlene Hill, Charlene Folk, and Ken Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brother Richard Folk.
Donations may be made in Linda's name to Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center.
