Linda Patterson

Linda LaVonne Patterson, 74, of Copley, Ohio, passed away on Saturday morning June 17th, 2023 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Akron, Ohio, on May 23rd, 1949.

Linda loved to dance and travel with her husband, Larry and best friend Diana. Linda taught dance at the Jean Sheppard School of Dance for over two decades, she taught at Buchtel High School for 10 years and retired from Firestone High School where she taught English for 22 years.

Linda will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 52 years, Larry Patterson; children, Jamie (Tara) and Gabriel (Ellen); grandchildren Alexandra (Boomer), Ryen, Halle, Laci, Dylan, and Mia; great-grandchildren, Baker and Ozias; God daughters, Lisa Stephens (Brian) and Jillian Bogart; cousins, Donna and Sandy; and countless adopted family members.

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Mary O'Neil, sister, Donna Kandas, brother, Mike Rembrandt, cousin, Patty Preston, and the bestest boys in the world, Falcore, Opie and Sunny.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, June 22nd, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Guardian Angels Church, 1676 S Cleveland Massillon Rd. Copley, OH 44321. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you reach out to those you hold close, and tell them you love them.
